I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter - I sure did. There is nothing greater than being able to spend quality time with your family on a weekend my grandmother terms, "the holiest of the year."
We had two Easter dinners this year (Saturday night with dad, Sunday with grandparents). Dad came up with that compromise to satisfy the insatiable desire to entertain at their home and also observe the tradition of Easter at grandma's. Overall, it was a great compromise, albeit an expensive one on the caloric side.
Though this was a change from our normal Easter festivities, this is not the new tradition of which I was referring in the title of this blog.
No, that change came in the aftermath of our Easter egg hunt - which in itself was a riot - Han even got in the action - carrying the egg he found in his mouth with Erick proudly looking on. Many of the young-uns in my family don't like hard-boiled eggs (Erick included) so while we were enjoying the beautiful weather, someone got the idea to start a game of "egg ball". Basically softball with an egg, only if you hit the egg you had to replace it with another egg. We all took turns at bat and when the eggs ran out, went to using actual balls. It made for a messy, but enjoyable afternoon.

That sounds like a blast! Too bad you didn't let me know ahead of time. I have several hard boiled eggs that are about to find their way to the trash :)
K- that seriously sounds like something my family would do! Isn't it funny what games you can come up with? haha! We might even have to try this;)
It sounds like your Easter was a ball! I'm so glad. We missed you.
