We're definitely not in Kansas anymore, Toto

Adjusting to life in Alabama has been fun.  First off, everyone is SO polite and the first thing they ask when meeting you is not where are you from, not why are you here, but:  Are you affiliated with a church yet?

Also - see if you can spot the difference in the following dialogues:

Cashier:  What you want?
Erick: Ah, yes we would like the 10 piece bucket meal - grilled
Cashier:  We don't got no more chicken - if you want chicken you gonna have to wait 30 minutes.

Cashier: May I help you?
Erick:  Yes, we would like the 10 piece bucket meal - grilled
Cashier: Alright sir,  oh - wait Sir, the chicken won't be ready for another six minutes -is that a problem?
Erick: No that's fine.
Cashier:  Would you like a drink while you wait?

I love it! I'm so glad you are having fun. I love that they are so polite there. Only in the DC area would a KFC say they didn't have no more chicken! Hee hee. I love your blogs.
